Central Heating controller issue

Where is the receiver for the thermostat? Is it mounted on the boiler? Where is the boiler? Can you take a photo?

BG might fit you a new thermostat.

Controller i just move from room to room so not wall mounted

Received is on wall next to boiler in kitchen

You say thermostat so is that the controller ?

The controller you have taken photos of is a wireless thermostat. It looks like you have a very simple system. A combi boiler with a single wireless (Hive) thermostat which just turns the room temperature up and down.

Was it all fitted by BG? Anyway, just tell them the thermostat is playing up and ask them to replace it. You can book online.

Yep all that was done.
Supposed to be here today but they said nothing was booked which is rubbish as B Gas even put a notice on my Google calendar but they denied it all, they are here tomorrow so another 1/2 day wasted waiting for them.

Ah.

Do you have trvs?

You can't move the controller around if so (without changing the trv setting)

Just wondering where the connection is with what I’ve wrote & motorised valve ?
You said the room is being heated without the control (thermostat) being on. A stuck microswitch can cause a boiler to stay on, irrespective of what is being asked from the thermostat

British gas at their best. They'd happily come out for a one time fix fee but not for a cover plan job
