Hi
I have a Potterton Prima 50f boiler fitted in this house I moved in January 2005.
Recently the pilot lamp started to switch off and won't come on.
My plumber (who says he's corgi registered) restarted it 4 times for me and then told me to get the boiler replaced.
It's now about a week since the boiler has not been working and I'm trying to find what is the best way to go.
Can anyone suggest me which boiler would need to be fitted as a replacement?
I called couple of companies including Potterton Technical Helpline and they said that I should go for the POTTERTON SUPRIMA HE.
Is this correct?
My existing central heating is gravity based (I think). The cold water tank is in the loft and the hot water tank is in the airing cupboard.
There is also a small pump next to the hot water tank (Myson Compact CP53).
Now I do not know if this means that my CH is fully pumped or not as I do not have any idea.
I corgi registered person suggested me that my existing system needs to be upgraded. I don't know what that means.
Another one told me that the Suprima HE will simply replace the existing boiler without much of an issue.
I would really appreciate if someone can provide some insight into this.
Thanks and Regards
