I wonder if someone would help me please.

I have a problem with my Central Heating.

The hot water works fine on demand, but not the central heating.

I have replace the programmer, and thermocoupler in the boiler to try and fix it myself, of which I thought it had, however the central heating is very intermittant and but now doesnt work at all.

Having said this I can get the Central heating to work when I press the switch on the motorised valve. The indicator on this valve moves from M to C after this button is pressed and hey presto it works.

The Central heating stays on until the in room thermostat reaches temperature, once this happens the Central heating doesnt start again unless the button on the valve is pressed.

Any thought will be greatly received.

What boiler is it? I presume it is a heat only boiler and not a combi.

I think you need to replace the motorised zone valve head as it seems it is obeying the command to open from the room stat.
