How do I drain a system to move a radiator. I remember turning off a valve in the loft b4 then draining outside. Is there anything else to do 1st. Someone mentioned closing all the rad valves to stop them emptying is this best practice.

Thanks

David

If you turn all the radiator valve off so they don't drain, when you go to re-fill you will get air locks for a past time.

Best to drain it all out and flush the system through.

Don't forget to clean the header tank out before you drain.

In the loft normally.

Perhaps some more information on what you have, although it won't alter the advice.
