To help.

Do you have a wall thermostat?
What boiler do you have?

That's the heating pump to move water around. Plumbers here will advertise..

Do you have TRVs and lockshields valves on your radiators?
Re pump speed that all depends on how effective the pump in distributing the flows to all radiators and is particular to the system its serving, generally lower the better for a bit of energy saving but start on 1 and progress upwards depending if your radiators are getting warm enough.

Pump speed on those is often on 3. Heat does not turn down - do you have a room thermostat? Are the radiators too hot?

I have these ones . Do they need to be fully open
Don't need to touch them if the radiators are heating up. As above, start the pump on speed 1, it it all works leave it there, if not turn it up to 2 and try again.

I have this one . But it's near the front door . Probably the coldest part of the house . Is this why the radiators are so hot . Because this is cold .
The lockshield valve. Should I have this fully open mate . Sorry to be a pain . I'm a joiner and this is all new to me .
Cheers mate

Do you have zone valves on your system? If so, the heating one could be sticking. Simple enough fix for your plumber.
