Have you tried the simple thing as turning off the mains at the fused spur for 30 secs to reset the pcb etc?

If that does not work, can you determine if there is a constant demand from the external heating control?

Does the boiler fire whilst the pump is running?

Does the boiler work normally for the HW side?

I don't know these very well, so can only, hopefully, offer general advice.

what type of system do you have?

fully pumped or Gravity hot water and pumped heating?

either way, the pump is getting a live feed constantly so there are only a few options. i need more info to try and help on the electrical side of things, depending on the system.

if you have a system with pump over-run, id say that the thermostat which is supposed to switch off the pump once the water in the rads is at an acceptable temperature, after the boiler has turned off, is faulty and is keeping the live supply to the pump on all the time.

Thanks bhm1712 spot on have sorted today, now working ok.
