I've got a simple light in the loft at the moment but it's just not good enough. Would it be a fairly simple job replacing this with a fluorescent strip light?

Ie just install the strip light and extend the existing wiring?

Thanks!

It depends how it's wired currently, but it certainly wouldn't be hard.

If it's a rose with switch wires and loop in and out and the rose, you will need to replace the rose with something that serves the same purpose and then run a cable from this to your new light

If it's looped at the switch (so you only have one L N + E at the light) then you can simply move these cables into your new light

You should check first there is an earth wire at the existing light, as fluorescents often require earth.
