Changing the wheels on a trailer

Anyone got any ideas how to change the wheels on a trailer?

Obviously a car jacked up has three other points of contact with the floor plus a handbrake on, so very secure.
The trailer is one of those wooden, almost cube shaped, two wheelers.

I could sit it on top of a box of some sort, but would need it on the floor first in order to crack the wheel nuts.....

If you put the trailer on the car and loosen the wheels while on the ground. Jack up one side at a time and support with a solid block of timber underneath the main frae of the trailer, before taking the wheel off. If in doubt, give the trailer a shake before removing the wheel. Replace the wheel and run the nuts on hand tight. Let the jack down, not forgetting to take the block of timber out and tight the wheel with a brace. Do the same on the other side.

Take the trailer for a short run and re-tighten

Hope this helps

This site is worth £100 per question... Mursal, how did i miss the trick of attaching it to the car - adds another point of contact with the floor, and a hand brake - genious !!

Thanks again.
