I have a double socket 120cm from floor. I want to put a single socket down 60cm and 60cm across. From the double socket 120cm, can i chase down the 60cm and across 60cm to my new socket, Can do i that?

i want to chase down then accross not staight across from my double socket to my new single socket
Can anyone tell me if i can chase down then across??? i don't understand the weblink above
If your cable goes vertically down from the existing socket then right angles horizontally into the new socket then that is OK.
Edit: this is assuming that the existing socket is part of the ring and is not already a spur.

yes its a complete ring but will spur off for the new single socket
