After a cheap cordless drill or screwdriver for my parents' caravan; they want to use it to wind down the corner steadies (legs). Prefer Li-ion as it doesn't self-discharge and doesn't mind being recharged without being fully discharged first. Needs to turn a 19mm hex socket but doesn't need to have a huge amount of ultimate torque, not trying to lift the caravan off the ground just make it stay put.

Any suggestions?

Lidl's next week. Or why not a cheapo ratchet handle, with ext bar and bit.

Buy cheap buy twice! ;)

We've all done it and ended up buying again so it really is false economy to buy cheap clobber. :(

Agreed, but he's already stated the not-very-taxing intended use. Plus Lidl's stuff ain't so bad, and with 3 year guarantee.

We don't have a lidle but never had anything from Aldi work longer than a fortnight.

Thanks for the Lidl tip, nearest one's 15 miles away but do go that way from time to time. Is there a website link to the drill please?

Tesco do a cheap li ion drill, not that i have one, but should imagine it would be very easy to take back should the inevitable happen, we have taken printers back and had now ones with zero problems to date.

Thanks for the help everyone, I've found a 12v Ryobi that's £49.95, bit more than I wanted to spend but it's got two batteries so I should be able to make a few quid back flogging the second battery on eBay :D
