quite a few years ago i thought it would be hilarious to get the wife (now ex) a jokey pressie and hide the real stuff, so up comes christmas morning and were all opening the pressies, the kids are passing out them to each other then the "funny" pressie appears in front of mrs oss and she then realises that its the ony one for her, and says ooooo ive only got one from daddy i bet its a good one, to which i say it took me ages to think up this one!
anyway she opens up the present, and promptly starts to cry obviously thinking that its all i got her, she hit me with it and then chucked the other part at me. even when id given her the real pressies it didnt help as the joke had well and truely killed the moment.
and as it was about 7 years ago it must have left an impression as it is still mentioned every year by some of the family.
by the way the pressie was, a lovely pink window scraper and a large tin of de-icer.
