I need a short section of chrome water pipe for my new shower , only around 4 inches will be on show where pipe comes through the wall to the left hand side of electric shower unit, total length needed is less than a foot.

I do have a length of previously used stainless steel 15mm pipe which my dad gave me, i filed the end and it is definately stainless, he's not sure if it's been used for water,or maybe his old gas fire.

Could i use a section of this stainless steel pipe, or does it have to be copper for my shower feed?

Cheers

You can use s/s, copper, chrome copper, plastic.

What shower is it ? Some inlets are pushfit some are compression fitting.

You may need to treat the surface to ensure it does ot slip out of whateven fitting you are going to use.
