And can you ask them to find out what that green and yellow wire is doing on the bottom of the existing RCD?

I wonder if it's a functional earth? Maybe it replaced an old VO device and the earth just got left, although it looks too new and too big for that. That's all I can think of.

There's maybe a piece of choc block (or similar) in the bottom of the RCD and is being used to connect to the outgoing CPC in the twin and earth.

Is there a label on unit saying the date when it was installed and a recommended date for next inspection?
And did you get a installation certificate also?
