circular saw blades

Can I use any make of blade on my circular saw as long as the diameter is the same.

the kerf[thickness] bore[centre hole] and diameter must be the same
the bore off the blade can be bigger with a reduction shim/washer but not nessiserily an easy task

rather than use any make, use a decent make! makes a hell of a difference

Hi john, Bike is probaly in garage but hard to to be exact as stolen around 4 years ago, now switched to pedal power. Thanks for info, brought saw few years ago and not used a lot. Have ripping blade on and need blade for cutting plastic roofing material, Have performancepower saw from B&Q.

if you are cutting plastic use a diamond tile cutting blade
