Ok I've got the 1.6 hdi (the more powerful version of the two available).

Recently I've noticed that sometimes shortly after starting there is a distinct lack of power and it takes a lot of throttle to get off the line. I've had a couple of awkward starts at junctions. Then switching into second can result in kangarooing unless i bite the clutch slightly with high revs.

Does this sound like something a bottle of injector cleaner will help fix? Or should I take it for an italian tuneup (20 mins at 70 in 4th) lol.

Just wondering, does the engine management light flash on at all?
I'd guess that the EGR system is in the huff, and it's sticking open when it shouldn't be.
John :)

Don't abuse the clutch to get over the problem or you'll be needing a new DMF.
