Is there a connector available that will fit inside a clay soil pipe (100mm internal diameter) to which plastic soil pipe can be fitted, or is the external rubber couplings with metal bands the only option? Cheers.

Have a look on the Marley drainage website ;)

You can get an adapter - I have one in my hand; it's a McAlpine DC1-GR.

They also come in black (DC1-BL).

Hi guys. Thanks for the replies. Been to Marley and McApline websites. McAlpine states their connector is suitable for 110mm I.D. Do you think it will squeeze into 100mm I.D. with plenty of lube?
Just to expand on the problem. Horizontal clay pipe under timber floor has cracked at socket. We have just enough access to use a suitable connector if one exists. Failing that then we'll have to dig up floor which conveniently becomes concrete above where we need to be. Chances are we'd probably end up doing more damage to the existing clay soil and end up digging up and renewing the lot. Not a pleasant prospect.

IMHO you have not one hope in hell of doing that.

I certainly don't envy you in your situation, but there may be alternative ways out of your predicament.

Can you post a picture of the cracked part?

Multikwik MKES110. Same as Mcalpine DC1, which will fit into 4" / 100mm ID pipe, despite what it says about 110m ID - this is clearly an error.
