Clio headlight stalk

Hi All,

I have a '55 plate Clio with a problem with the headlight/ fog /main beam switch on the stalk. I have to fiddle with the switch for them to come on, the fog lights switch doesn't work and the main beam is very problematic. I was wondering if was easy to change the stalk over because I seen them on eBay for less than £20 but one garage said over £160 and they weren't even sure if it was that.
I'm a novice which is another problem.

Never actually done one on a clio but i would expect no more than 2 hours labour. Its a fiddly job and to be honest im not sure if the steering wheel needs removing on these to do the job, a quick google search will probably show you.
I would not advise a complete novice to do the job.
