Clutch problem - hydraulic Ford Fiesta 16V

Hi

Hope you can help
Clutch pedal has disappeared. Brake fluid past clutch level. Leaking out of bottom of gearbox. Pipe ok, problem in gear box ?

Can it be diyed or is it a garage job?

Only just bought, good start

Probably the slave cylinder on the gearbox. Shouldn't be too expensive for the part, but i think they may be bolted from the inside of the gearbox so may be a gearbox off job.
Have a look where the pipe goes to the gearbox and see if you can get to the slave

Thanks for your reply. You are right. Been to the scrap yard today to ask. Theres an arm in the gearbox thats bolted to it. Gearbox has to come out to fit the part. (Cost a tenner for parts) Hard bit getting the gearbox out and back in. (The joys of having an old banger)
