Hey the cold feed pipe to my bath is dry as a bone when the tap is off. However I noticed that when I ran the bath it seems to get wet, not enough to form any water under it though. Then dry again whn its not runing. What could be the cause of this I'm sure its not leaking from the tap connector.

is it running down the tap spout and then between tap/bath seal down the thread etc.

is the end of the spout limescaled up ?

Thanks for quick response i dont think will be seal between the bath and tap backnut. Is new have just put it in it came with a rubber for both sides which I put on and squared up so would seal and tighten. If was condensation why would it only occure when the tap is runing, As there ll be cold water in the pipe all the time. Thanks for any help

if it's cold mains it will be warmer being indoors if not run for awhile.
run the tap for a few secs then you get fresh water thats been in the pipe underground outside dam site colder than your house.

The water is only cold when it emerges from undergound. Once the tap is turned off the water in the pipe soon warms to ambient temperature and the condensation stops forming.

ok thanks have you notice the problem I discribed before then. Suppose it isn,t realy a problem if its only condensate thought. Thanks for you help I was puzzled
