Hello all, have 1 radiator in my living room that is not heating up. I have microbore pipework :( I have taken the radiator off and flushed it with a hose ut still it is cold :( As the weather is getting colder now I have my heating on in the early mornings, and will do so more now the months go by. What could the fault be? Thank you for any help offered :)

Turn off all other rads and see if the living room rad heats up.

If it does, the system needs balancing.

If it doesn't, there is a blockage in the pipes to that rad or in the rad itself.

Microbore has a reputation for blocking up. Usually caused by insufficient inhibitor in the system.

Hi, thank you for helping me

The rad was ok before, all of a sudden has been blocked up.... not a balancing problem

How can I remedy this? I flushed the rad through but still cold :)

Have you got thermostatic radiator valves? If yes, remove the TRV head, and check that the pin isn't stuck down.
