Hi,

Embarking on a new build and must install boiler with weather compensator.

I currently have a Baxi Duo Tec 40 which has been a very reliable boiler and would be happy to install another in the new property. Does this boiler have the circuitry built in for weather compensation.

What boilers would you recommend which has the inbuilt circuitry ready for attaching the outdoor thermistor? As always cost is an issue.

Thanks.

The duo tec can be fit with weather compensation. Even better a baxi platinum is exactly the same as a duotec and its got 10 years warranty for a great price.

In fairness it only makes a difference at the planning stage for saps etc, it will never get picked up if you didn't fit it.
We've done several new builds where it's been specced but the customer didn't want it.

Who says you must (i.e. it's compulsory) install a WC boiler?
SAP, ERP.

Take your pick.
Neither of those make the installation of a WC boiler compulsory. All they tell you is that: (SAP) a house will have a better energy rating if a WC boiler is installed and (ErP) a WC boiler will be given a better energy rating than a non-WC.

ErP has nothing to do with SAP. WC is worth 3 points on SAP, to get those points it might be necessary to spend a grand on insulation somewhere or £25 on WC.
