Come on Scotland.

what happened ?

I ken its bad, went to pub, far too much lager, now I’m regretting it

first goal, why were they fannying around with the ball in front of the Brazilians in there own box ? jez

As far as support goes, the sweaties have received (deserved) plaudits from far and wide. The Tartan Army will leave an indelible mark.

Good on 'em. I hope they get through.

Coz the opposition can't score if they don't have the ball, d'uh

(The flaw in this cunning plan being you have to keep the ball from your opponent, not kick it into your own net, and so forth) ;-)

^^^^^^^^Joke, BTW (y)

You have to face the reality that Scotland are not on the level of the other two, so getting out of the group was always going to be a struggle.

But, the hope is there, it's real, and it will kill us........
Scotland spent 47 seconds in Brazil's final third in the opening half. When the half ended they still hadn't recorded a shot on target since John McGinn scored by way of a double deflection 28 minutes into the Haiti game. More than three hours without working an opposition goalkeeper.

It's the world Cup.

It's meant to be difficult.

If it wasn't, it wouldn't mean anything to those competing for it.

And by God, there are levels upon levels.

England, decent though we are, are going to need a lot of good luck to win this.
The real top teams won't.

Time and time again, we show that we can't put away "the low block".
The question is, why?
When teams like Spain don't have such issues.

It's the world Cup.
Great for the small countries to experience.
Cant say much for Italy
It's meant to be difficult.
The real top teams won't find it to difficult until they meet someone decent.

If it wasn't, it wouldn't mean anything to those competing for it.
Germany scoring 7
Portugal 5-0 Uzbekistan
Canada 6-0 Qatar:
Japan 4-0 Tunisia:
Im sure these results meant something.
And by God, there are levels upon levels.
No doubt and England are not that much better than the Scottish. Yet do and should have an outside chance.

The better you are the more luck you will get.

I just think the English squad is just below that level.

I meant winning the thing.
Your not wrong

Really?
Or is it tactics?
Or even a mentality (of innate caution, maybe) that we ultimately can't shake off?
All of the above.
Given time I believe we can do it. Gradually we are learning from the best of the best.

Look at the USA. What they lack in technical ability they make up for in logical thinking and ultimate fitness.

They could win the world cup before we do, without being as good in many areas.

Racist? Nonsense. It’s rhyming slang.
So Joe Daki is ok is it?
I appreciate Noseall's encyclopedic knowledge of the building trade, but I don't think he's the arbiter of which terms are racist or not.
Have you tried Google?

You should endeavour to make your own decisions about which terms are racist or not.
Although I'm sure Noseall will be happy to continue your education, until such time you are able to form your own opinions.
