Common close wiring

Some rather dated and dodgy-looking common close wiring, powers 2 lights. The new CU powers the intercom.

The picture with 2 CUs is the flat wiring.

I would be slightly reassured if I could see that the conduit had some means of earthing before I handled the metal light switches ...

Is anything earthed?

Also I can't follow the cables properly on the photo - does everything go through the meter?

No, only the supply to the lights and entry phone (service head - thin cables to meter - thin cables to ironclad - conduit to lights and T&E to new CU for entryphone) go through meter.

The other cables / conduits go to 4 flats which have internal meters.
