I just painted my mouse with Krylon Fusion plastic paint, this was suggested to me on another forum.

Problem is, 2 days after, the grainy feel of the painted surface starts to wear down slightly, revealing the grey original color underneath, is there anything I can do to make it more permanent? without spending loads of money. This is for a mouse thats used daily.

The mouse in question is a Trackball Explorer, which are very rare, and retail on ebay over £100, so not an option, should have said sorry, anyways to strengthen it to make it more permanent and hard wearing?

I don't really think you're going to be able to get a satisfactory result unfortunately.

Maybe a specialist primer might do the business for you..something like dulux ultra grip..apply that first (after you have cleaned the other stuff off) give it a rub with very fine wore wool or fine wet and dry paper before you start

Another option might be ceramic tile paint

have you asked the paint manufacturer yet?

you can get special primers for plastic surfaces in car accessory shops, they are used to stop respay peeling off plastic bumpers and go-faster wings.
