concealed shower valve connection

i am not a plumber!.

but i thought i would ask here before i get a plumber in.
i have just bought a shower valve and in the instructions it says where possible use 22mm pipe connection and i have only 15 mm pipes

will this still be compatible with my system?

Yes (the intructions say WHERE POSSIBLE) but be aware that it wont work as well
