i screeded the floor in the kitchen and it is not perfectly level.

is it a good idea to go over the floor again with self levelling compound to a depth of 1-2mm. this should take out most of the differences.

do i need to wet the concrete floor before i do this ?

Do you mean "level" or "flat"? A floor does not need to be "level" to lay tiles - it needs to be pretty "flat" for ease of tiling, but if you're only talking about 1-2mm then I would leave it at that and just get on with the tiling.

yes i mean flat. ok so i will just tile onto it. thanks you saved me a bit of hassle.
