Im soon to be tiling my small downstairs cloakroom which has a solid concrete floor.
The floor is fairly flat but in places the surface is uneven enough to cause me problems when putting down the fairly large tiles (60X30)
Whats the best way to prepare the surface to ensure it is flat enough to ensure a decent job?
I did a bit of research on putting down hardibacker (drill, plug and screw into the concrete) However hardibacker is not recommended for use directly on on concrete. ( not sure why, any ideas?)
The other option was to use self leveling screed....If i use this should i tile directly on top of the screen once set?
Any other options/best practices that you guys can advice
