A farmer friend of mine is making some kind of steel frame that will hold drums of oil etc this base will raise these drums about 2ft off the ground.
He has been told (by frame manufacturer) he needs to dig 6 holes 500mm x500mm x500mm to make the foundations to take the "legs". That is a lot of concrete!
Can the amount of concrete be reduced by adding rubble / bricks into the holes and if so what would be a safe amount to add?
