After much suffering of damp and leakage, it has been diagnosed my tiles have insufficient overlap2-3 inches instead of 4-6 inches, so I need to relay or replace two questions
1) can you identify the type of tile
2) these tiles are about 20-30 years old, how long do they last, I will need about 150 to correct overlap, so need to be good for another 20-30 years

Help appreciated

The tiles are called Delta's and your best chance of finding them would be at a Roofing Yard but my guess is that they will be quite scarce. It would be far cheaper to just re-lat the roof to adjust the lap.

Dan living in Scotland you would want maximum overlap which would mean a few more tiles

Dan scotland.. I have a few good contacts in scotland for getting tiles and slate. I could try and find you Delta tiles.

I have found them extremely hard to get in the past but have got there in the end..

Would you like a hand

Hi Ridgetop, if you can point me in the right direction it would help.
If they are that scarce, maybe if I buy new roof slates etc, I can sell the Delta's to recoup some of the cost of the new ones, There are about 650 Delta's on the roof.

I am not working at the moment so tight budget.

I had calculated 150 (with a few spare) tiles to allow maximum overlap of 6 inches
