Condensing light switches?

Good.


I presume whoever wired it didn't check or bother, but, to my mind, using the blue for permanent live and red for switched live is just silly.

I suppose that is the trouble with twin red cables.
 
This is what you have for future reference:

I don't think whoever wired it up gave any thought whatsoever to which way round the two reds in the hall switch cable were.
