Hi all,
We're currently having our garden dug up / re-flagged and I'm taking this opporunity to bury, under the new flags, the 4mm core SWA that goes from the isolator to our hot tub.
Mrs has suggested I "put it in a pipe in case it breaks at some point and we need to replace it, I'm not having you dig my flags up". The reasoning seems sound, but I think I'm really going to struggle pulling it / any future replacement cable through due to the location of it (tight behind a drain at one end / underside of the tub base the other & includes a bend)
The other option I suppose is to get some decent conduit, and replace the armoured cable with standard cable... but then I've got the issue of making the connection to the isolator box / the couple of inches where it's exposed to the elements both look presentable and stand the test of time.
Just looking for some thoughts / something to go back to the Mrs with, as I can see an "I told you so" and either re-laid flags or cable running across the top of them in my future
Cheers
