Hi i am putting a new double socket into a new stud wall.
I will be running the cable in 20mm round pvc conduit.
The question is do i run the conduit straight into the box through the hole.
Or do i have too put blind gromits before the cable enters the back box.
If so how do i support the conduit.

Why 20mm round and not oval, if use oval, the chase not as deep and can use some snap on clips that you plug and screw to wall.

Yes it protects the cable from the sharp box edge ,as well as holding the conduit rigid and in place, makes wiring easier as you can push down and it will go straight in box first time.
Really for single core cables but can be used for T+E etc.

With T + E You can stop the pipe short and just use a grommet, depends really how you want to do it.
