I've never smoked so much as a single drag in my entire life but as a young child I watched my Nanna live the last years of her life in a lot of pain and discomfort through several illnesses caused by her smoking for much of her life so i've got the greatest admiration for anyone who gives it up! I'm sure its not been easy but you should be extremely proud of yourself!
Thanks for all your support fellas. I feel quite tearful!
Holmslaw , good luck with you quitting, I found that a gradual change of habits over a couple of months worked for me. I hope you are successful with the champix though.
Keep us informed with how you get on and I'm sure all the regulars will support you.
I stopped in 2005 but had been admitted to hospital with COPD breathing problems. They kept me in for 10 days (and didn't let me sneak off for a smoke) then came to discharge me and said they were booking an appointment with the Oncologist because I had LUNG CANCER!
