We've got a 45a double pole switch in the kitchen and used to have 1 oven but will have 2 new ones soon. Can I take a 10mm cable from it to a socket and plug 1 oven in to that. From that socket take a cable to another socket and plug the 2nd oven into that. The reason for 2 sockets is so that one can be isolated if need be.

Yes you can do that - 4mm² flex will be more than adequate.
Of course, that is assuming that the ovens come with plugs fitted and you are not putting plugs on large ovens.
