Connector blocks, with a difference

Hello

I'm looking for the connector blocks, aka connector strips, aka choc blocks, that have a strip of metal under the screw to clamp the conductor.

The advantage is that conductor(s) can't slip up beside the screw. I know that the plate has a greater surface area than a screw, with the same clamping force, and I know that this means the friction is less and the pull-out force is smaller, but I still like them.

Does anyone know of a supplier of these?

How about the Weidmuller MK range?

This MK range is the only terminal strips that I can recall as having a rising clamp. They are not exactly as cheap or adaptable as the non clamp style.

Maybe your better off using bootlace crimps instead?

I don't need any for 4mm² - only 2.5mm² and below.

Is "CN07080" meant to be a part number? I still can't find the item on the RS site.

Crimps certainly give a mechanically stronger connection, but they can't be quickly disconnected and re-made.

CN07080 is a stock code for CPC, not RS.
