Hi. I'm building a conservatory on the rear of our semi-detached house. It will span most of the width of the house, which isn't very wide. I know we can build up to 3m from the rear of our house, but the thing is, the rear wall of our house (and it's all original, 1939 construction) is 'stepped', so that the kitchen for instance (comprising maybe 50% of the width of the house), projects about a metre further out than the rest of the rear wall. Is is acceptable to use this kitchen wall as the "rear wall" as stated in the regs, or will I have to build a 'stepped' conservatory to match the house wall line?
I've never seen a conservatory built with a stepped or staggered construction, incidentally.
