Conservatory Repair

Hello everyone.

A few weeks ago I spotted this piece of broken plastic on the road at the front. Brought it in and put it in the bin. A few days later my wife said have you seen this? Part of the conservatory was missing. I immediately retrieved the plastic piece from the bin. A storm must have worked the part lose and blew it over the house!

The problem I have is no one seems interested in fixing it. The company who installed the conservatory no longer exists.

Has anyone got any ideas how I might fix it? Preferably without falling through the roof.

If I remember correctly the finial screws on. The semi circular disc is held in place by sliding into the recess either side of the white trim piece running along the roof and lining up with the finial. Screws from underneath hold it in place.
There should be some internal trim you can remove to see the screws holding the circular part in place.
Sort of job for a company/one man band that specialises in double glazing or conservatory repairs rather than an installer.

It appears to have broken off, rather than just come adrift. There is a raw looking broken edge around the circular part in the middle.

Think you’re right. It looks as though it’s snapped off with the wind.

The part you need to buy is called a radius end cover, which hopefully is helpful if you DIY or if you have to explain to a firm over the phone when looking for quotes.
