When you get 4 Pole COntactors 40A does that mean 40A on each pole or 40A all together

not heard of a 40A lighting circuit before. Get a 4p 20A contactor and you will be able to switch four 10A lighting circuits.
 
I have used a 63A 2 pole contactor for lighting before now.

It switched the submain feeding a lighting DB in a warehouse.
 
If BAS catches you in here your in bigggg trouble

its not technically a 63A lighting circuit. Its a 63A submain. feeding several lighting circuits. with the whole lot controlled by an ickle tiny switch. I bet that felt good to turn on! :lol: one little click, and it powers up a whole warehouse? of lights :lol: the beauty of contactors . . .
