I found a few old posts, but none looked quite like mine.

I want to change my landing light switch to a one way smart type, but need help on the wiring behind the old rocker switch.
The new smart one way switch is a no neutral no capacitor type which I have successfully used in other rooms for over a year.

Here is a picture behind the current rocker switch. please advise on how to wire new switch.
Do I need to do anything down at the other switch in the Hallway?
I have placed a switch cover over the downstairs rocker so it cannot be operated.

Help appreciated,

For a one-way switch, just use these two wires.

Put them in the new switch terminals that have screws.
Doesn't matter which is which.

Safely terminate the other wires in connector blocks.
You don't need to do anything downstairs if you are keeping the same switch - but I would also disconnect them and put in connector blocks as well.

Thanks for the prompt answer and diagram :)
Really appreciate that, will dig out some connector blocks for isolation purposes.
Would heat shrink work to isolate as space in wall box will be tight, and I have a load in the garage?
