Quick question - possibly?? already have a hob that comes with 6 mm flexi and now have a double oven that i was going to use 10mm cable for . Running both via junction box. However as you will know thats a whole lot of cable to be fitted in there

So is there a bigger junction box (which i doubt) to continue with this method or will introducing some 6mm flexi into the plan solve my issue. (4.6kw cooker by the way)

4.6KW is about 20A.. you can put that on 4mm easily ( 2.5 rubberised flex from the cooker connection unit would do it.. )

4+6 = 10... the size the cooker outlet was designed to take... :)

Sweet thanks Col - thought i was going to need a small gorilla to help me get those wires in...

It doesn't work like that.

I know that it's stranded, and will deform a bit, but even so....

It always worries me when people say "cooker" when they haven't got one.

Do they mean a hob?

Do they mean an oven?

Walter - what is the rating of your hob?

What is the rating of your oven?

1 Double Oven, total connected load 4.6 kw (A rating)

1 Hob, TCL - 7kw, already came with a flex on it.

Thoughts BAS?
