I used www.ovenlettering.co.uk

They ask you for the model number of the appliance, and send the lettering. It's easy to apply the lettering yourself.

My now 4 year old “quality” custom built range has (had!) them over a stainless steel face plate & I made a point of asking how hardwearing they would be. I was told it would not be a problem but they only lasted about 2 ½ years & the faceplate is now almost blank. I rely solely on memory but am considering recalibrating with a cooking thermometer & some Letraset. Scourers or strong chemical cleaners (which will also strip a factory applied lacquered finish!) were not used, only washing up liquid & hot water.

Unfortunately screen printed & transfer decals now seem to be commonplace but I would avoid them at all cost in future; they will eventually wear off no matter what the manufacturer tells you.
