HI

1.check the plan
2.calculate size of the rooms
3.distance from the boiler to rads, etc
4.plus more

really you need your tutors help

Why?

Would you buy 52.6 metres of 15mm and 37.8 metres of 22mm from plumb center if that's what it was worked out as?

Do you have to calculate how many elbows and tee's you'll use aswell?

A little bit of experience and you can roughly guess how much is needed per job, a few lengths here and there isn't worth worrying about, just seems like a pointless exercise too me anyway! :)

Maybe of little significance for one house, where an extra 3M doesn't make a lot of difference, but an exercise that becomes significant if you're looking at a development of, say 500 similar units.... Is that 14 or 15 miles of 15mm?
How much is an extra mile of 15mm you going to cost?

For a student, maybe it's a project designed for you to demonstrate a variety of different 'correct' answers, according to the relative costs of materials, labour etc. etc., or maybe, if we are off to theoryland, a chance to demonstrate the virtues of a one-pipe system.

About £2000 which would be INSIGNIFICANT if I was pricing for 500 systems!
