Hi, I am trying to remove a corner basin which has a crack in it. It rests on a cupboard and there doesn't seem to be anything holding it on to the wall or the cupboard but having taken off the waste and the tap connectors I thought it would lift off but it won't! The new one has no holes or clamps that might give me a clue. Does any one know how a plumber might have held it on? Or am I going to have to smash it to get ot out?
Thanks in advance for any help.

It could have a screw in each wall and corresponding key-shapes on the sink, hooking it down and over the screws. Add tiles above the basin to stop it sliding up, and it'll not come off easily.

Thanks for your help, looks like I'm going to have to hit it with a hammer and hope I can save the cupboard. I can fell three blobs of silicone but they are in the most inaccessible places!

haha we always fit silicone in the hardest places to get off  please wear goggles and gloves when you smash the sink out broken porcelain is lethal, i have a scar on my arm caused by throwing an old broken tub and sink in a skip which gently brushed against my arm as i threw it, didnt notice i was cut till i felt the blood running off my fingers, had to get 8 internal stitches and 10 external ones

Thanks for the advice-basin out, cupboard and tiling still intact so far!
 Time for a beer I think!
