Correcting bodgy paint job in Kitchen

My kitchen was painted by the previous occupants, on closer inspection they appear to have plastered themselves (poor job) and then fired on kitchen paint with no mist coat

This is now lifting off in places and chunks can be taken off back to the bare plaster quite easily

However I'm not sure if it's feasible to strip the paint like this throughout the whole kitchen, would be very time consuming and it may be stuck better in some parts than others

I have considered feathering the exposed edges but the more I think about it the more I think it needs to come off some way or other


Any advice?
