Cost of plastering/finishing a room?

It will cost about the same as a second hand car

I thought that was how long it would take?
it depends on a few things,
the labour to take off boards
what materials are going to be used for float and set
how many walls and the size of the job ect ect you cant expect someone to give a price on just the little bit of information you have given
As has been said...need more info, but to give you an idea for my 3.3x3.3m room, plaster off to brick and lathe and plaster ceiling down to be replaced, rendering/plastering materials so far have come in at about 150quid...my walls were VERY bad - bricks were far from flat, so needed much more render and more time to get a flat wall than if on a well built wall.
My quote to render and skim was just shy of 600 quid (including materials)once the room was stripped
I took all the old stuff to the dump and having a go myself...so MY cost is about £150!
If you're not goign to do it yourself...get a labourer in to strip it...it's not skilled work, so why pay skilled labour rates?...probaly a day or two's work...(mine took two, but I'm notoriously slow!)
Also you'd need to factor in a skip to get rid of the rubish...mine was about 60 x 25kg bags of rubble...
So, an Utter guess probably for a small/medium sized room 600-1000 and large room 800-1500???
