Many people are not aware that verbal agreements are in many cases as legally binding as written contracts. Verbal contracts can be upheld by a court if someone decides to breach the agreement, although without written terms and conditions it may be difficult to prove.
yep thats right nothing in writing. The builder to be fair seems to be an honest person so perhaps his material costs were as he states but i believe thats his fault for not quoting the job correctly. Its a shame the cost of the roof went up so much but given the fact a week prior to giving me my final bill he did say the quoted price wasnt far off the final figure, so a week later the price went up 50%, its that i cant stomach.
I have problems with the roof which is outlined in the roofing section of this forum so as is it stands hes had no money out of me yet...why is nothing ever simple??
