cowboy left us with cold shower!

Nice to see a happy ending and also a poster grateful/bothered enough to come back to he forum to say thank you.

Can you put us all out of our misery and let us know what the problem actually was and how it was sorted.

Cheers
Rico

Yeah, sorry! The shower was running colder which co-incided with the cowboy returning to fit the earth wire. This turned out to be co-incidence and the actual problem is that instead of giving the thermostatic shower a seperate hot/cold feed he has fed it off the bath feeds  so 'nogoodatfaultfinding' came & adjusted the valves until the balance was a bit better between the two. This now means the shower is warm again (hurray). He also noticed that the pressure in the boiler was below 0. It could be that the cowboy drained the system (despite there being a sticker on the cover saying not to!) and didn't reset the pressure. This may have been the reason that the boiler was squeeking because it has stopped now. It could have wrecked our boiler too. And now we know how to reset the pressure ourselves we can keep an eye on it. Luckily the cowboy has now retired to Spain.
