Crack On Door Frame

Hi everyone. New user here so if this is in the wrong section apologies.

I have just moved into my first place and around the lounge door there is a crack/gap on the frame just on the hinged part.

The flat was built in 2006 and none of the other doors suffer from this problem.

Hopefully the pictures work in this post! (I've uploaded a few snaps to my album)

Can I fix this in any way or will this need someone skilled to fix it?

Is this flat one that you have bought or renting?

If renting then make a note of it and report it to the landlord via email.

If you have bought the flat then what has happened it there is movement in the wall/door frame, this movement is slight and probably due to shrinkage.

The wall and frame will just need to be decorated. If it happens straight away after decorating then the door frame will need extra fixings.
