You really need a couple of quotes for the work Brian, and then you want to pretty much double that for a price reduction, as you never get away with what the builder initially suggests. It's one thing to charge top price for a property you can walk into and open a bottle, but a doer upper requires a more realistic price.

Looks exactly like my friends house in Chandlers Ford (S. Hampshire). It needed underpinning some 20 years ago, which was covered by their house insurance.
