I went to look at the bungalow today that my friend is buying (rem thread about bathroom extractor fan, of which i noticed the ran does indeed vent out! Via the soffits) and noticed several cracks in render.
Now, one horizontal crack was almost the length of the pine end wall! Some cracks were vertical too.
These had all been painted over.
Render was solid when i tapped it around the cracks etc.
Below the render was around 4 courses of red bricks. Only one brick had a vertical crack through the middle of it. All the rest were sound.
I told my friend to ask agent if vendor could spread any light on the cracks. I wish i had taken some pics now! They werent stand out cracks. I was alarmed to see one go almost the whole width of the wall!
Its a small, semi detached bungalow that has been recently renovated (2022).
Any ideas people?
